Bleh. I'm Sick

I didn't want you to think I forgot about you guys~
I miss you!
Wanted to mention it so you wouldn't think I'm a complete blogging flakazoid or something.

I have seven more days of a new antibiotic but I hope to be back before then.

Nothing serious.

I'm curling up with my bed buddy to watch Paranormal Activity.
Probably a mistake.
Oooooh, scary!

  2. Take good care of yourself. Do you have some Emergen-C? And garlic?

I love your kitty pic up there.

  3. Being sick's the worst. My sympathies, friend, I wish you a speedy recovery (and lots of cinnamon toast).

You watch scary movies when you're sick?! That's the worst time! If something leaps at you out of the closet then you're weak and ill-prepared to defend yourself!

  6. HEY! You feeling any better? We're getting worried! All nervous and jumpy. We can't focus on anything. We're missing our Entrepreneur Chick. We be needin' our spunk fix. Do you find yourself improved?

  7. Yes, Postie's right. Where the heck are you???

Postie - "Do you find yourself improved?" You been reading too much Louisa May Alcott, methinks.

  8. Duta, Zlatica, Mimi and Tilly, Chloe and Kim-

Thank you guys so much for your concern and warm wishes.

I appreciate it so much. :)

  9. Polly and Postie,

Awww, thank you for double checking!

I felt terrible! But I got my remedy down very well and learned the absolute joy of Epsom salts. No kidding. Have you guys tried Epsom salts? I can't believe this stuff.

Anyway, the deal was, the side effect of the new antibiotic was headaches. Translated, migraines!

So I'd sit down at the computer and then... because of the eye strain, OUCH.

I fooled around with Happy Aqaurium (on Facebook) but that was the extent of my computer time, and even that was too much.

Nonetheless, gosh, I miss you guys and am happy to be back- I'll probably write later today.

Wanted to tell you two that I watched The Jane Austen Book Club and now want to learn everything about her!

And Polly? This is SO cool! I learned this from you.

I'm all fixated on anything to do with Greece and the Mediterranean. You know those themes you do?

It started with me reading about the border of Israel (because I just finished Numbers) and then, I pretty much eat that way too (fish, nuts, etc.) and of course, how Greek is a derivative of Latin, which I'm learning- and then I moved on to the writers- Homer, Sophocles, Herodotus, Euripides, Hippocrates, Aristophanes, Plato, Aristotle, Euclid, Archimedes.

I think I'll take an author a month and study that.

Also, I want to do a collage like you do.

I'm so grateful to you, Polly, because I'd never given any thought to this theme idea and taking something and running with it. I'm having a blast!

Then I started this deal about Dorothy Parker who said, "The cure for boredom is curiosity. There is no cure for curiosity."

Of course, she an other writers would meet in the Algonquin Hotel in New York City- did you know that they had, and still have, a cat who has run of the place?

Yes, if it's a girl cat, the cat's name is Matilda but if it's a boy cat... uh oh, forgot the boy cat's name. I'll be right back...

Postie, they have a drink at the Algonquin Hotel that you'd like! You order it "on the rock", the rock being a diamond at the bottom of the glass! Isn't that cool?

(Okay, I guess I did a little more than play Happy Aquarium.)

Anyway, happy to be back- xxooxxxox!

  11. Rhondi,

Thank you so much! I'm sorry to hear your husband is sick. Flu? :(

  12. Taking a theme and running with it IS a blast, isn't it. Just call me Queen of Unit Studies.

The Dorothy Parker quote is just awesome!

I'm glad you're feeling better, and are back in the blogosphere.

  13. HOLY CRAP. A diamond on the bottom of the glass? That beats anything I ever saw. I thought Goldschläger was neat because it had tiny flakes of gold in it!

I anxiously await your return to the blogsphere, madam. (And yes, Polly, maybe I have been reading a bit too much Alcott. I could be the comic relief on any sitcom with the antiquated speech patterns I spout after reading a good antiquarian novel.)

  14. Postie,

    Yeah, I knew you'd like that. :)

Okay, I'm going on three weeks of downtime now. That's how much sick time I've thrown down. You know that saying, "sick of being sick"?

Today is my first almost normal day. I tried to write yesterday but the migraine was too bad.

If I keep this complaining up, who's going to come see me in the nursing home?

It means a lot to me that you've checked on me so often. Thanks, Postie. xxoo

  16. Still sick, or just sick of Blogging?

    Hope you get well soon

  17. Kim,

Awww, thank you for the well wishes. This illness took way too long to get over. Today is the second good day I've had in three weeks. But, I am really grateful.
